Dr. Betman is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Michigan with over 30 years of experience. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey then trained at McLean Hospital in Boston, a Harvard teaching hospital. After training Dr. Betman remained on staff at McLean Hospital as an Assistant Attending Child Psychologist. In addition, he worked in Boston for nine years at a community mental health clinic and his private practice. At the clinic, he held a variety of positions including Coordinator of Emergency Services, Director of Early Childhood Services and Associate Director of Training.
From Boston, he was recruited by Dean Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin as a staff psychologist. For nine years Dr. Betman performed psychological testing and provided therapy services to children, adolescents and adults. In 2003, Dr. Betman moved back to metro Detroit to open Psychological Solutions Center specializing in consultation and therapy for children, teens, and adults.
Dr. Betman currently works as a psychologist at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield three days a week and maintains an independent practice two days a week in Farmington Hills. He is a member in good standing with the Michigan Psychological Association.
